Most slow PCs aren't actually too old. Usually it's a worn-out hard drive, not enough memory, or years of startup clutter. I figure out which one and fix that.
It could be a driver, a failing drive, bad memory or a damaged Windows install. I test the hardware first, so we fix the right thing.
I clean it out, figure out how it got in, and close that door. If any passwords or accounts were exposed, we'll deal with those too.
